Jeannine Renee Fisher, or as many people called her, “Jeannie”, has checked out of life’s party a bit earlier than expected. Jeannine passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2025. She was 59 years young.
She’s now joyfully reunited with her beloved mother, Phyllis Kilgore, probably crafting centerpieces out of clouds, sipping heavenly coffee, and reading devotions.
A Registered Nurse by trade and a compassionate powerhouse by nature, Jeannie treated every patient like family — which means they got plenty of care, a few sarcastic comments, and absolutely no nonsense. If you were lucky enough to land in her care, you got a nurse who could stitch you up, make you laugh, and probably judge your tattoo choices (lovingly).
Later, she brought her light to Sheetz, where she quickly became a customer favorite and probably convinced more than one person to try the coffee and food.
Outside of work, Jeannine was the reigning queen of crafting and fun activities — especially when they involved her granddaughter, Farrah, who was the true love of her life (sorry, rest of the family). She loved roller coasters (because life wasn’t thrilling enough) and she loved traveling to new places. Whether it was glitter, reading a good book, or organizing a trip, she did it all — ideally with coffee in hand and a skeptical eyebrow raised.
And oh, the stories. Jeannie could turn a trip to the grocery store into a three-part saga, complete with plot twists and snack recommendations. She was the kind of person who listened—really listened—and left people better than she found them.
To know Jeannie was to be loved loudly and to laugh until your face hurt. She leaves behind not just her family, but a trail of joy, countless stories, and a reminder to find fun and love fiercely.
Jeannie leaves behind a family who adored her, a craft drawer that will never be organized again, and a world that is a little less sarcastic and a lot less kind without her in it. She leaves behind her two children, Justin (Michala Challen) Fisher, daughter, Kimberly (Dave) Harden; grandchildren, Farrah Fisher and Jordan Highfill. She also leaves behind many loving friends and about 47 coffee mugs, half of which are labeled “Don’t Talk to Me” or “Nurse Off Duty.”
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeannie’s name may be made to The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, 460 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210, cancer.osu.edu/for-donors-and-volunteers or consider doing something kind for someone today—tell a story, share a coffee, or ride a roller coaster and scream a little louder for Jeannie.
She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered, and forever loved.
