Jeffery Michaels

Jeffery “Maverick” Gordon Michaels, 69, of Ashland, peacefully passed away April 15, 2025, at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.

He was born in Fremont, Ohio, to Emmet and Patricia (Groves) Michaels on March 27, 1956. Jeffery married Linda S. Michaels, and they later divorced.

Jeffery was a 1974 Lakota High School graduate. While in school, he was an active participant in 4-H and FFA. Jeffery was a hardworking man who loved the outdoors and being a mountain man by nature.

Jeffery is survived by his sons, Caleb A. Michaels and Logan I. Michaels, both of Ashland; grandchildren, Isabella Fleece, Hank Michaels, and Cash Michaels, all of Ashland. In addition, he is survived by his brother Charles Michaels of Fremont; niece, Ashlie Alexander; nephew, Daniel Michaels; aunts, Virginia Michaels, Charlotte Wittenmyer, and Nancy Mannor; cousins; and great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his eldest son, Jeremiah T. Michaels.

In keeping with Jeffery’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Jeffery’s family.
