Jeffery Wittenmyer

Jeffery A. Wittenmyer, 58, of Findlay, went peacefully to heaven August 22, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born in Findlay on September 8, 1964, to John and Janice (Ralston) Wittenmyer. He married Pam Babcock on October 9, 1990.

Jeff worked for The Courier and Toledo Blade in the past.  He made wooden crafts and was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church. Jeff loved NASCAR, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, but most of all Ohio State. He was a caring, laid back person, with a fantastic laugh.

Those left behind to cherish Jeff’s memory are his wife; siblings, John (Penny) Wittenmyer, Jayne Berger, Joyce (Dwight) Motter; many nieces and nephews; and his cats, Callie and Precious. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, George and Martha Wittenmyer; and a brother, Jim Wittenmyer.

Jeff was one that never complained about things or showed pain even though he was in and out of the hospital often. The family would like to thank Pastor Jeff Topping for the every day visits to Jeff in the hospital and at home. Jeff always looked forward to seeing him. They would also like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Blanchard Valley Hospital for their professionalism, especially Dr. Ratnasamy for the extra special doctor he is, and Bridge Hospice for the wonderful care to make Jeff comfortable until the end.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Jeff would have loved for you to wear Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, or NASCAR to his visitation. His funeral service will be held after the visitation at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Topping officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Ridge Cemetery.
