Jeffrey Wayne Huffman, 66, of Tiffin, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2026, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on May 6, 1959, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Wayne and Ilene (Tabor) Huffman. Jeffrey married the love of his life, Diana (Frasure) Huffman, on July 11, 1981, and she survives.
Jeffrey dedicated his life to his work as an automotive generalist, known for his skill, knowledge, and willingness to help others. He took pride in his work and built a reputation for being able to fix just about anything.
Outside of work, Jeffrey had a deep love for racing, music, and writing. His enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about the racing world affectionately earned him the nickname, “Weasel”, after the beloved Looney Tunes character, among his closest friends. He enjoyed playing guitar and writing songs, and those close to him remember his unique ear for music and creative spirit.
Jeffrey had a special place in his heart for animals. He rescued and cared for many abandoned cats over the years and showed compassion to all living creatures, even tending to injured wildlife when he could. His kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Diana, he is survived by his children, Nicole (Dan) Mehling, Jamie Huffman, and Heather Harris, all of Tiffin. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Cowan Mehling, Mackenna Vanover, Dakoda Harris, Brennan Mehling, and Austin Harris; his siblings, Marge Dotson of Columbus, Ohio, and Stella Brown-Lepley (Guy) of Bryan, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Luna.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Huffman; his brother, Terry Huffman; and his parents.
Jeffrey will always be remembered for his compassion and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
