Jeffrey L. Routson

Jeffrey L. Routson, 61, of Findlay passed away at 4:50 p.m. on April 1, 2016 surrounded by his family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on March 5, 1955 in Findlay, Ohio to R. Leon and June G. Routson. Jeff married Julie Ann Lee on October 24, 1974 and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters, April M. (Max) Gore, Richmond, VA; Hannah L. Routson, Findlay; a son, Adam L. Routson, Columbus; four grandchildren, Henry M., Lucy M., Gracie M. Gore and Milo L. Routson; two brothers, Thomas W. (Pam) Routson, Mill Valley, CA; Randall J. Routson, Laredo, TX. Mr. Routson dedicated his life to public safety. He served as a sergeant and detective on the Chesapeake, VA Police Department for 15 years. Upon completion of his law degree in 1997, he has since served the Allen County and City of Lima Prosecutors' Offices in Lima, OH. At Jeff's request, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the OSU Foundation, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, Ohio 43218-3112. These funds will be endowed to Surgical Critical Care Support.
