Jenny E. (Carter) Gardner

Jenny Elizabeth (Carter) Gardner, aged 63, of Williamstown, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Fremont, OH, to Roger and Wanda (DeVore) Carter on August 16, 1962. Jenny was united in marriage with her husband, James F. Gardner, in May 1985, and he survives.

Jenny graduated from Fostoria High School and attended Owens Community College where she earned her associate degree. She served as a postmaster for many years prior to her retirement.

Jenny was an extraordinarily caring person with a heart of gold. She loved her family fiercely. Jenny liked to play bingo with friends, and adored her dog, Shiloh. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Left behind to cherish Jenny’s memory are her husband, James; her daughter, Valerie A. (Ryan) Austin, and stepson, Corey (Rebecca) Gardner. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Xavier, and Aria, and one great-grandchild. In addition, she is also survived by her siblings, Rhonda (Michael), Jason (Richelle) and John, multiple nieces and nephews, and her mother-in-law, Ruth Gardner.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her brother, Rocky, and grandson, Aaron.
