Jerry A. Oswald

Jerry Oswald, 79, of Findlay, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026. The first child of the late Arthur and Sarah (Humm) Oswald was born April 3, 1947. Jerry had been a resident of Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore for the past two years where he received kind and attentive care.

He attended Cory-Rawson School through the ninth grade and graduated from Findlay High School in 1967. Mr. Oswald proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-67). He later worked at the Fostoria Foundry until it closed and retired after twenty years at Ball Metal Corporation. Mowing lawns for neighbors at Eastown Estates and working at the Senior Center were among his retirement years activities.

Jerry’s first new car purchase was a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS. After years in storage it was restored. He relished maintaining its like-new appearance and taking it to car shows in his later years.
