Jim B. Breyman

Jim Bob Breyman, age 70, of Arcadia, passed away December 22, 2023, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. He was born April 10, 1953, in Findlay, to Karl and Pauline (Davis) Breyman. On January 13, 1973, Jim married Patricia Mellott, and she preceded him in death in 2016.

Jim graduated from Arcadia High School. He worked at the Hancock County Sherriff’s Department for 22 years, retiring as a lieutenant. He was also a member of the Washington Township Fire Department for 45 years, currently serving as captain. Jim was a member of Flying Circuits, Mustang Club, American Model Association, and especially loved model railroading and remote-controlled airplanes. He also liked going to dinner with his family and close friends.

Those left behind to cherish Jim’s memory are his son, Ryan Breyman; sister-in-law, Loretta Whiting; special nieces, Sue (Bill) Rehm, Laura (Rob) Greer; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Jason Breyman; sister, Patty Switzer; brother, Pliny Breyman; nephews, Scott Switzer and Rusty Breyman.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Jim’s funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3 at the funeral home with visitation one hour (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.) prior. Pastor Deb Bame will preside.
