Joann I. (Campbell) Fitzpatrick

JoAnn I. “Jody” Fitzpatrick, 89, of Findlay, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Birchaven Village. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Mildred J. (Buckingham) Campbell, born in Findlay on September 19, 1930. Jody and Dick were united in marriage on October 11, 1953, they were happily married for 55 years until his passing in 2009. They loved to go dancing.

Jody was a Findlay High School graduate. She enjoyed going to the YMCA and playing water volleyball. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, CCL Club when she was younger, Card Club with family and friends, and taught her grandkids how to play dominos. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was blessed with six great-grandchildren. Jody was employed at the Ohio Power Company out of High School as a switchboard operator. Once her children were older, she worked for the Findlay City School System at Washington School.

Jody is survived by her daughter, Kim (Jeff) Ewing of McComb; grandchildren, Betsy (Nick) Conrad, Luke (Laura) Ewing, Kyle Fitzpatrick, Sara (Jimmy) Klay, and Keith Fitzpatrick; Great-grandchildren, Lilly, Abby, Ben, and Bella. She is also survived by a sister, Mary (John) Cain; and daughter-in-law, Beth Fitzpatrick. In addition to her husband Dick, Jody was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Fitzpatrick; brother, Ralph Campbell; great-grand-twins, Harrison and Violet Klay.

Friends and family may visit from 3 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 31st in the funeral home with one hour of visitation ( 10-11 a.m.) prior to the service with Pastor Brandon Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Bloom Cemetery. Memorials in Jody’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of NW Ohio or Blanchard Valley Health Foundation.
