Joanne E. Butler

Joanne E. Butler, 80, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio on September 8, 1937 to the late Wilmer D. and Phebe I. (DeCamp) Basinger. On May 26, 1956, she married her loving husband, Merle A. Butler, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2018. Joanne worked for Triplett Corporation, Great Western Sugar, and White Haines Optical before her retirement. She enjoyed tooling leather, sewing quilts and traveling to the western United States. Joanne is survived by her two children, David A. Butler and Jodie I. Butler, both of Findlay. She is also survived by her sisters, Marjorie E. Perkins of Findlay, and her identical twin, Joyce I. Smith of Johnstown, OH; two sisters-in-law, Roberta J. (Basinger Butler) Romick, and Betty (Ream) Basinger; brother-in-law, Carl (BJ) Butler; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A graveside service for Joanne will follow in Benton Ridge Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating.
