John R. Connolly

John R. Connolly, 84, of Findlay, met his Lord Jesus Christ Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born in Urbana, Ohio August 23, 1937, to John and Margaret (Ater) Connolly. John was united in marriage to Barbara (Buck) on November 22, 1956, and together they had four children.

John was a Findlay High School graduate and also served the community as an employee of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. After more than 30 years of service, John retired from the Cooper Tire and Rubber Company.

John’s memory will live on through his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara; his sons, Bryan (Julie) Connolly of Tupelo, MS, Steven (Dr. Susan) Connolly of Atlanta, GA; his daughters, Robin Connolly of Middleburg Heights, OH, and Mrs. William (Jill) Shilling of Findlay; two grandchildren, Mrs. Brett (Jennifer) Beeman of Lawrenceville, GA, and Justin (Kristen) Connolly of Florence, AL; and five, great-grandchildren, Liam Beeman, Declan Beeman, Jemma Connolly, Oliver Connolly and Elliott Connolly. He is also survived by one sister, Catherine Niederkohr of Carey, OH, along with many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joann Connolly, and Sister Patricia Connolly, R.S.M.; three brothers, James, Joseph, and Michael Connolly.
