John M Heilman

John Michael (Mick) Heilman, 77, of New Riegel, died May 14, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born in Tiffin, on January 27, 1947, to John A. and Anna (Miller) Heilman. He married Maryanne Moore on October 4, 1979, and she survives.

John is survived by his sons, Anthony (Janeen) Heilman of Upper Sandusky, Samuel (Amanda) Heilman of Tiffin; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marianne Bright.

Mick joined the Army serving three years during the Vietnam war. He worked mainly in the construction and maintenance fields, where he gained many valuable skills. For 27 years he worked together with his wife, designing and fabricating many beautiful awnings for homes and businesses as owners of C.G. Meyer & Son, Tiffin.

John raised and raced pigeons for many years. Despite his chronic illness, he was always upbeat. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an avid and lifelong Cleveland baseball fan.
