John Wayne Patterson

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, a good man John Wayne Patterson, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and believer in Christ Jesus, went to be with his Lord and Savior.

John was born in Findlay, Ohio on July 10, 1951, to Don and Rita (Moenter) Patterson. He was a graduate of Findlay High School’s Class of 1969. He worked and retired from Cooper Tire after thirty-six years of hard work and service. John then worked as a bus aide for Findlay and was a firm believer in Jesus as his Savior and Lord. John married Cheryl (Hohman) on April 3, 2017, the love that his life had long waited for. They had these past beautifully cherished years growing together as husband and wife, doting upon each other, their children, grandchildren, and close family and friends.

John is survived by his wonderful wife Cheryl (Hohman); children, Keri (Robert) Furches of Mocksville, NC, Reed (Kathryn) Patterson of Van Buren, Cody Hohman of North Baltimore, Lindsey Hohman of Findlay, Stephanie (Michael) Alonzo of Chatfield, and Jaclyn (Keith) Lammer of Findlay; and thirteen beloved grandchildren, with another due in May. In addition, siblings, Donna Warnimont of Findlay, Alan (Evelyn) Patterson of Peoria, IL, Mary (Mark) Hausrath of McComb; and sister-in-law, Cindy Patterson of Findlay also survive. John was preceded in death by his parents Don and Rita, and his remarkable brothers, Larry and Mark Patterson.
