John R. Riggs

On Monday, August 5, 2019, John Ray Riggs was called home to the Lord at the age of 61. He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Donna B. Riggs (Rickle). Born in Findlay, Ohio on April 1, 1958, he was the son of Joan E. Rose and Donald Ray Riggs. John worked at Marathon Oil Company as a janitor for many years and attended Trinity Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Donna, John is survived by his loving mother Joan of Findlay; sisters, Virginia Lewis (husband Terry) of Rudolph, OH, Brenda Criteser (husband Walt), Lorraine Peterman (husband Robert), Sylvia Peterman, Robin Lynch (husband Albert), and Ginny Ennen (husband Don), all of Findlay; and a brother, Brad Rose (wife Carole). Uncle to nieces, Kimberly Holub, and Marie Rose; nephews, Joshua Lewis, Matthew Holub, Steve Rose, and Scott Rose. John was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Riggs; step-mother, Loretta Mae Riggs; grandparents, Frank and Lourene Harvey. Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at conclusion of visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Spann officiating. Interment will follow in Van Horn Cemetery.
