John Schurger

John H. Schurger, 80, of North Balitmore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Briar Hill Health Campus. He was born on May 8, 1938 in Cleveland to the late John and Helen (Egner) Schurger. John was united in marriage to Linda Thomas and she survives him. He was a member of St. Michael's Parish and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. John loved spending time with his family and enjoyed reading, antiques and playing the piano. John proudly served his country in the US Army. John is survived by his loving wife, Linda; son, John S. (Michelle) Schurger of Custar, OH; daughter, Marcie L. (Jim) Stewart of North Baltimore, OH; grandchildren, Tyler and Chelsea Stewart, Adrianna, Addison and Brenden Schurger; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Devlyn Stewart. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Williams. A private graveside service will be held in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, OH.
