Johnny A. Burdine Jr., of New Bavaria, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at his residence. Johnny was born November 15, 1964, in Defiance, to Johnny A. Burdine Sr. and Paula R. (Rankin) Cooper.

Johnny worked in lawn care and as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting and was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He was also a member of First Church of God in Defiance.

Johnny was the beloved husband of Jennifer L. (Turner) Burdine, whom he married on July 19, 1997. He was a loving father to Johnny A. Burdine III, Harlie (Joe) Jackson, and Amber Miller. He was a proud grandfather to Elliot and Eddie Peabody, and Eleanor Jackson. Johnny also leaves behind his siblings, George (Mona) Brown, Rick (Julie) Brown, Patty Fleming, and Robert (Roxanne) Burdine; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny A. Burdine Sr. and Delores Burdine; Paula Cooper and Larry “Bud” Cooper; his grandparents; and his beloved dog, Brutus.

Johnny will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the time he spent enjoying the outdoors, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10 a.m. at First Church of God, 561 Carter Rd, Defiance, OH 43512. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Johnny’s family.
