Jon Timothy Wilkins, 69, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 5, 1956, in Findlay to Richard and Evelyn (Ike) Wilkins of Zanesfield. He received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and by doing so became born again in 1965 at the age of 9 years old.
Jon graduated from Arcadia High School with the class of 1973, where he met the love of his life Robin Siferd. They’ve been inseparable ever since. They were wed in holy matrimony on August 7, 1976 and remained so until his death in their 50th year of marriage.
Jon worked on the Norfolk and Western Railroad. He also attended Pensacola Bible Institute in Pensacola, Florida where he remained until 2008 in the video, audio and book publication ministry of Bible Baptist Bookstore.
Jon enjoyed reading his Bible. He just finished his 63rd time having read through the Bible. He built model train layouts and enjoyed showing them off. He also enjoyed building and launching model rockets with his grandchildren. Jon prioritized spending time with family. Long bike rides, summer days of boating and water skiing were some of the many ways he shared time with his family and friends. Jon had a great love of music, especially classical and sacred music. He shared this love with his children and grandchildren where that love of music will continue. He loved watching his grandchildren's music education progress over the years and enjoyed sharing music recommendations with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Wilkins; daughter, Tanya (Ken) Height and their family, Joey, Eric, Ben, Megan (Steve), Brandon (Charlotte), Kylie and Logan Height; daughter, Tabitha (Steven) Stevens and their family, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Mary Stevens; son, Jonathan (Sonia) Wilkins and their family, Evelyn, Callie, and Wendy Wilkins; his “adopted” family, Kate Ros and Yuri Pavlov; siblings, Jim (Ann) Wilkins, Rob (Melanie) Wilkins; brother-in-law Bob Yoder; and mother-in-law, JoAnn Siferd. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Yoder; father, Richard Wilkins; and mother, Evelyn Wilkins.
