Joseph Harry Haley, 83, of Findlay, joined his Heavenly Father on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Birchaven Village. He was born on January 30, 1935 to the late Thomas W. and Florence M. (Davis) Haley in Findlay, Ohio. Joseph married Carole J. Wise and she preceded him in death. In June 1978, he married Sharon L. Whiticar and she preceded him in death.
Joseph graduated from Findlay High School. He was an electrician, skilled laborer and aviation maintenance tech. Joseph proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserve before being honorably discharged. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking in his retirement.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Sarah (Andy) Haley-Greeno, Cynthia (Jim) Haley-Beltz, Jennifer (Thom) Haley-Hassan and Rita (Steve) Haley-Lang; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Tim (Mary-Lou), Tom (Pat), and Robin (Cheryl) Haley; and sister, Kay (Kenny) Hough; along with his brother-in-law, Larry Cherry. Joseph was preceded in death by sons, Steven Haley and Anthony J. Haley; daughter, Linda K. Perry; brother, James L. Haley; sister, Ann E. Cherry; and a grandson, Stephan Barton.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18th with one hour prior (10-11 a.m.) of visitation before the service. The Pastor Bill Reist will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad performing full military rites.
