Karen L. (Shelly) Mohney

Karen Louise (Shelly) Mohney, 75, of Perrysburg, passed away surrounded by her loving family February 24, 2022, in the comfort of her home. She was born November 27, 1946, in Springfield, Ohio to Paul A. and Vera L. (Hinkle) Shelly. On May 27, 1967, Karen, and Noden R. (Russell) Mohney were united in marriage.

Karen graduated high school and attended Miami-Jacobs Career College where she acquired her associate degree. She worked for U.S. Department of Agriculture and retired after 20 years of service. Karen was also a long-term member of Stone Bridge Church of God, serving as Treasurer, Financial secretary and was on the Benevolence Committee.

Karen’s memory will live on through her loving husband, Russell; son, Duane P. (Lynn) Mohney of Maynard, Massachusetts; daughters, Andrea L. (Douglas) Myers of Perrysburg, and Lora L. Mohney of Galloway; blessed with five grandchildren, Brayden E. Myers, Claire B. Myers, and Ethan D. Myers, all of Perrysburg, Caleb A. Mohney, and Kira L. Mohney, both of Maynard; sisters, Ruth E. (Craig) Macdonald of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Nadine S. (James) Baskin of Fairhope, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Alan R. Mohney.

Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Karen will begin at 1 p.m. following visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Wise officiating. Burial will be private with family only.
