Kathryn M. Higley

Kathryn M. Higley 95, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Kathryn was born on October 9, 1922 in Beaverdam, Ohio to the late Cloyce and Leona (Stoner) Robnolte. She was a devoted wife to Glenn "Pete" Higley for 73 years and they were blessed with two children Bryan and Lana. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and going out to dinner with family and friends. Some of her other past-times included playing cards, crossword puzzles, solitaire and jigsaw puzzles. Throughout her life she was fortunate to be able to travel and sight-see many destinations with her husband and family. Some of her favorite trips were those with her grandchildren each summer as they were growing up to places like Disney World, Washington D.C., the Smoky Mountains and the beaches of Florida. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Kathryn is survived by her son, Bryan (Patricia) Higley; grandchildren, Ann Whitman, Schenley (Joe) Hutson- Kirk and Aron R. Higley; great-granddaughter, Samantha K. Whitman; and a sister, Glenna Snyder. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lana E. Hutson; and her husband, Glenn "Pete" Higley. Friends and family may visit on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service for Kathryn will be follow in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will be private in Knollcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Kathryn's name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
