Kathryn Jo Swihart

Kathryn Jo Swihart, 61, of Findlay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. She was born on June 21, 1958 in Tiffin, Ohio to Donald and JoAnn (Ritzenthaler) Barth.

Kathryn graduated in 1976 from Old Fort High School and attended Lake Michigan College. She worked for Findlay Ford as a service writer and eventually retired from Whirlpool Corporation. Kathryn enjoyed gaming, swimming, eating, listening to music, and gardening. In addition to her hobbies, she loved spending time with her family and being a Grammy.

Kathryn is survived by her two children, Jeremy Swihart, and Kristin Swihart, both of Findlay; and three grandchildren, Emerson Mercer, Jase and Lily Swihart. She is also survived by her brother, Ken (Dawn) Barth of Vincent, OH; and sister, Kim (Rich) Bishop of Tiffin. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her adoptive mother, Marjorie Barth.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) with a memorial service following at 3:30 p.m.  Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer will officiate. Memorial contributions in Kathryn’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice or Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd. #8861, Fremont, Ohio 43420.
