Kay Irene Breitigan, 83, of Findlay, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore.

She was born March 24, 1943, in Findlay, to Willis C. and Florance (Snyder) Breitigan. Throughout her life, Kay was married to Norman Bellomy, Francis E. Boes Sr., and later Ted McKnight, all of whom preceded her in death.

Kay was a 1960 graduate of Findlay High School. She was employed at RCA and later at Coin Laundry before dedicating herself to her family. Kay enjoyed painting, finding inspiration while watching Bob Ross, sewing, and spending time observing the birds and squirrels outside her window. She loved the squirrels so much that one even made itself into her apartment. Kay also had a special love for lighthouses, with Toledo being her favorite, and treasured opportunities to visit them.

Kay is survived by her children, Dean Bellomy of Findlay, Sheila Mondello of Florida, Cheryl (Basheer) Ismail of Kentucky, Melissa Blosser of Findlay, and Tonya Boes (Thomas Schnapp) of Virginia; grandchildren, Christopher Duggins of Kentucky, Stephanie (Nicholas Brown) Logsdon of Findlay, Shelby Blosser of Jenera, Kalynn Sommers of North Baltimore, Justice (Codey) Wesloski of Virginia, Adam Ismail of Kentucky, and Sara Ismail of Kentucky; twelve great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rose (Carl) Stough of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Florance; and seventeen siblings.

At Kay's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Kay’s family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kay’s name may be made to Dementia Society of America at Dementia Society of America.
