Keith Leon Beck, 59, of Bloomdale, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Bridge Hospice Care Center after an 18 month battle with liver cancer. He was born on September 8, 1957 to the late Kenneth H. and Francis L. (Cramer) Beck. Keith married Nancy D. Beck in 1979 and they later divorced. In 2000, he married Lisa M. Spicer and she precedes him in death.
Keith graduated from Van Buren High School. He then earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Findlay and a master's degree from the University of Toledo. He worked at the University of Findlay since 1991, where he was an athletic trainer and later a professor of strength and conditioning. In his time later, he touched the lives of hundreds of students, many of whom he'd keep in contact with for decades.
Keith was a devoted Christian, who tried to do good deeds every day in the name of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a life-long Republican and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He also had a passion for the game of golf, which he played as much as humanly possible.
Keith is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Heinz Beck (Sara) of Berkley, Michigan, and Daniel Keith Beck of Bloomdale, Ohio; and two grandchildren. Kennedy Harper Beck, and Hadley Quinn Beck, both of Berkley, MI. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth L. Beck (Barbara) of Scottsdale, Arizona; and sisters, Patty Demos (Dean) of Newnan, Georgia, and Sharon Musser (Larry) of Rawson, OH. Surviving also is his girlfriend Jackie Ernst of Bloomdale.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Room Church of God with Pastor Terry McBeath officiating.
