Kenneth W. McRill, 80, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born February 15, 1938 in Hancock County to the late Proctor and Florence (Coppes) McRill. He married Barbara Gruber on June 6, 1959 and they divorced. Kenneth later married Linda S. McGuire in 1969 and she survives him.
Mr. McRill served 4 years in the 37 Division, 148 Inf. Co. C Ohio National Guard and 2 years Army Reserve. He retired from Edward L. Myers Painting and Local #788 Painters Union in 2003, after 34 years. Kenneth had also worked 10 years at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company and drove school bus for Vanlue Schools. He was a 1956 graduate of Findlay Senior High School, and a life member of North American Fishing Club.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda; his 8 children, Richard (Tinea) McRill, Kimberly (Ronald) Stapley, Darla (Mark) Thompson, Ronda (Mike) Barbieri, Sherry (Roger) Osborn, Shelly McRill, Rhonda (Scott) Varner, Christy (Wess) Reddish; 30 grandchildren; and 64 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Shirley (Roy) Prater and Kathleen (Cloyce) Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Christopher Bowling.
Friends and family may visit on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service for Kenneth will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 with Pastor Bob Stover officiating. Interment will follow in Van Horn Cemetery.
