Lawrence D. Gifford

Lawrence D. Gifford, Jr., 82, of Findlay, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Birchaven Village. He was born on October 10, 1939 in Walton, New York to Lawrence and Waneta (Adams) Gifford.

Lawrence graduated from Walton Central High school in 1957 and Hiram College in 1962. He was an engineer at GTE for over 20 years. Lawrence was a member of Assabet Valley Mastersingers for 10 years. He was an avid photographer who won multiple amateur photography contests. Lawrence was also a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Daniel Gifford, Holden, MA; daughter, Stephanie Gifford, Hopkinton, MA; brothers, Jon Gifford, Lexington Park, MD and Richard Gifford, Delhi, NY; sister, Debbie Bartlett, Walton, NY; grandchildren, Alexandra Wright, Michael Gifford, Brian Gifford; and great-grandchildren Michael Gifford, Matthew Gifford, and Grayson Gifford.. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Patricia Hodges and Nancie Bennett
