Leroy D. Magnus

LeRoy Dean Magnus, 79, of Findlay, passed away April 12, 2016 at St. Catherine's Manor, Findlay. He was born August 22, 1936 in Wisconsin to the late Roy and Della Vonasek Magnus. LeRoy married Marion (Hargrave) Magnus and she preceded him in death. LeRoy worked as a plant manager for Sundor Brands with 40+ years of service before retiring. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve in 1962. LeRoy enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, and watching his favorite sports. He embraced his time with his grandkids and loved listening to country music. LeRoy is survived by sons, Terry (Cheryl) Magnus of McComb, OH, Ronald (Wendy) Magnus of Altoona, FL, Ricky (Diane) Magnus of Sorrento, FL; daughters, Jean (Kevin) Atwood of Findlay, OH, and Karen (Jeff) Hanna of Arcadia, OH; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Robert Magnus of Altoona, FL; sisters, Marlene Magnus of Altoona, FL, Carol Dean of Umatilla, FL, and Kay (Randall) Leggett of Mulberry, FL. LeRoy was preceded in death by granddaughter, Brittney Hanna; brothers, James, Jerry, and Duwayne Magnus; sisters, Delores Mortensen and Eileen Hargrave. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. in Arcadia Cemetery with Pastor Kimberly Reese to officiate.
