Chuck was a BIG Sports fanatic! He loved his LA Lakers, New York Yankees, and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Bulldogs fan. He loved to play basketball and continued to play on the Whirlpool league (where he worked until June of 2021) three days before he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He never missed a game that Ja Morant has played in the NBA and was a supporter of the Memphis Grizzles. Chuck also loved all kinds of music, from Rap, Soul, Pop, and Country. He listened to F1 of FMG on a daily basis, a friend of the family. F1’s music gave him the inspiration to keep pushing forward. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking on the grill. He attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Harlem, GA until he moved to Ohio. Chuck and his wife had tried to find a church here in Ohio but was unable to find one that fit them. So, they would visit various churches in the area with his father-in-law, R. Lee Ramey.
Chuck was a strong and courageous man that didn’t know a stranger. He has touched so many lives by his generous words of encouragement, advice, a shoulder to cry on, and a swift kick in the rear when it was needed. Chuck was always straight up and real with everyone! He was a very caring and loving man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had the most affectious smile and lit up every room he walked in. He touched and left a very good impression on everyone he came in contact with. Chuck will be dearly missed by many from Ohio to Georgia, especially his hometown Harlem, GA. #Puggyville #PVC
