Lillian M. (Griffith) Mericle

Lillian Mericle, 95, of Findlay, passed away on September 12, 2021 at inpatient Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born February 6, 1926 in Marshall County, West Virginia to the late William and Bessie (Aston) Griffith. Lillian married Harold Mericle on May 26, 1946, and they shared almost 69 years together.

Lillian worked in the banking, retail industry, RCA, and was a member of Howard United Methodist Church in Findlay. During their retirement year, they lived in Lakeland, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian was an avid artist of painting, drawings, ceramics, sewing, crocheting, cake decorating, and had four art works at the Mazza Museum at The University of Findlay. Her love of music was unconditional.

Lillian is survived by her son, Michael (Connie) Mericle of Henderson, NV; daughter, Sandi (Charlie) Thompson of Findlay; grandchildren, Andrew (Nikki) Thompson of Sylvania, OH, Eric (Antoinette) Mericle of Henderson, NV, Allison (Gregory) Horodesky of Las Vegas, NV, and Amy (Ryan) Thomas of Cygnet, OH; great-grandchildren, Drew Thompson, Alec Thompson, Bailee Thompson, Corrine Mericle, Connor Mericle, Chloe Thomas, Easton Thomas, Rylee Horodesky, and Nicholas Horodesky. She is also survived by her sisters, Carrie Vroman of Tuscon, AZ, and Betty Hurt of Tiffin, OH. Lillian was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, William, and Harold Griffith; and sister, Helen Griffith Dangler.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Lillian will begin at 11 a.m. following visitation in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice or American Kidney Foundation.
