Lois M. Brown

Lois M. Brown, 87, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Fox Run Manor. She was born on November 17, 1928 in Amsterdam, New York to the late Alfred and Martha (Arendt) VanWie. Lois graduated from Amsterdam High School and worked as manager/bookkeeper in retail. Lois is survived by daughter, Kathleen Sammons; brother, Kenneth (Bonnie) VanWie; one grandchild, Heather (Tom) Hagans; and two great-grandchildren, Samantha, and TJ Hagans. She is also survived by nieces, Darlene (David) Hanchar, and Rebecca Weiderman; nephew, Jason (Christina) VanWie; one grand-niece, and five grand-nephews. A celebration of Lois' life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Blanchard House, 2000 N. Blanchard St., Findlay. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, New York. Memorial contributions in Lois's name may be made to Teddy's Rescue, on their website at, www.teddysrescue.org.
