Loretta Jean Morger, 92, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at Bridge Hospice Care Center surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
Jean was born on March 9, 1934, in Findlay, to William and Margaret (Niedermeyer) Huff, Sr. Growing up, she and her brother got into all kinds of shenanigans on the family farm. She graduated from Findlay High School. Jean married Richard Morger on December 19, 1952.
Jean loved her work so much she didn’t retire until she was 85 years old. She started working for Dr. Senn until his retirement and continued on with Drs. Browning, Polder, and Strigle for a total of 56 years of service. As the receptionist/surgery scheduler, her kind, sweet face was the first one you would see when you walked into the office. She was so helpful to so many people.
Jean enjoyed watching NFL football and looked forward to her trips to the casino. She had a special love for animals and cherished each of her pets throughout the years. She leaves behind her beloved grand dog, Maddy, who was her constant companion and could often be found curled up in her lap. Jean also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, squirrels, and deer that visited her neighborhood. She loved the color pink and spent many happy hours watching the Game Show Network, especially "Good Answer" (Family Feud).
Those left behind to cherish Jean’s memory are her daughters, Terri (Ed) Arrington, Tina (Mark Coffman) Morger; grandchildren, Amber Arrington, Lacey (Mick) Bloomfield, Chad Arrington; great-grandchildren, Jordynn, Jackson, Zayden, Kensington, and Rogan Bloomfield; and her daughter Trisha’s significant other, Andy Lydick.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Tod Morger; her daughter, Trisha Morger; her infant son, Casey Morger; and her brother, William Huff Jr.
HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500), is honored to have been entrusted with the care of Jean and her family.
