Lori Jo Powell, 59, of Bluffton, OH, entered life December 17, 1958, entered eternal life September 28, 2018. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Lori grew up in the central California coast. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1980. Lori is survived by her partner and wife of over 33 years, Robin Reyes-Powell and their two dogs, Tuni & Keiki. She is also survived by her mother, Wilma J. Powell; her sister, Patricia Powell; and brother, Kurt Powell. Lori will certainly be missed by her many nieces and nephews who provided her with nothing but laughter and fun. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Merton Powell.
Lori and Robin moved to central Ohio in 1993 before settling in Hancock County in June of 1999. Lori's career took several turns but her path led her a most fulfilling life as a State Farm Agent in Findlay, OH. She immediately immersed herself into community and clients. Lori loved to participate in community fundraisers and made many friends along the way. She also loved serving her many clients. Helping others whether through her work or volunteering was her true joy in life. Most in Hancock County will miss seeing her "Lori Powell State Farm" vehicle driving around town. They will miss her billboards and they will miss her presence at the Hancock County Fair.
Lori also devoted herself to helping animals through her support of the Humane Society of Hancock County. Lori and Robin have spent their lives with numerous dogs in their household and Lori looked forward to reuniting with those waiting in heaven.
Lori's desire was that we not mourn her in death, but, that we celebrate her life. Therefore, a Celebration of Life for Lori will be held at noon on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Sterling Center, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, OH 45840. In lieu of flowers, Lori requests donations be made to the Blanchard Valley Residential Services, Inc. and to the Humane Society of Hancock County. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
