Margaret Sturgess

Margaret Sturgess, 91, of Findlay, peacefully passed away with her loving family beside her on March 5, 2019 in the comfort of her daughter's home. She was born on November 20, 1927 in Norwich, England to the late George A. and Glady I. (Roper) Hook. On June 28, 1943, Margaret and the late Darrell Sturgess were united in marriage in Norwich, England. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2012. Margaret was a housewife raising her four children. She loved knitting, crafts, bowling and she was also a golfer. Margaret is survived by her children, Michael (Sue) Sturgess of Findlay; daughters, Linda (Harold) Spence and Sherry Hough, both of Findlay, and Meryll (Mickey) Hal of Eastlake, OH; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her brothers, Selby Gunning and David Gunning both of England; sisters, Esther Vanderburg of Findlay, Betty Hughes and Helen Windsor, both of England. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Gunning of England; and a sister, Kay Gray of England. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. A private burial will take place in Knollcrest Cemetery.
