Mariam E. Silveus, 91, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away after an unexpected illness on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Bridge Hospice. She was born on September 02, 1925 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late William J. Perry and Florence (Decker) Perry. On May 19, 1952 she married H. Clark Silveus in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death March 5th, 1996.
Mariam and Clark spent many summers traveling the country and their winters in Palmetto, Florida but also had a home in Findlay. Some of her favorite past times were researching the family tree, card games and listening to music. In 1987, they moved to Clarksville, Tennessee until Mariam returned to the area in 2005 to live at Arlington Good Samaritan Manor.
Mariam is survived by her sisters, Edna (Robert) Radebaugh of Findlay, Ella (Joe) Medvin of Vail, Arizona, and Betty (R. Lanny) Semler of Clarksville, Tennessee; and many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen (Richard) Adams; and a brother Ervin (Diane) Alspach Jr.
Visitation and funeral services were held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Interment will be held at a later date in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren, Ohio. Memorial contributions in Mariam's name may be made to the Charity of the Donor's choice.
