Marilyn K. (Pohlabel) Smith

On December 27, 2020, at the age of 80, Marilyn K. Smith, of North Baltimore, peacefully passed away at Briar Hill Health Campus. She was born in Lima, Ohio on December 26, 1940 to the late Robert J. and Donna L. (Winter) Pohlabel. In 1958 Marilyn met her future husband, Oliver H. Smith Jr., and were married on January 10, 1959.

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, crosswords, boating, gardening, and tending to her roses.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Oliver; son, Daniel (Yvonne) Smith of Van Wert; daughters, Cynthia (Doug) Riffle of Spencerville, Christina Smith of Findlay; six grandchildren, Paul, Louis, William, Nicholas, Marcus, and Ashleigh; and nine, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna M. Smith, Elaine A. Mason, and Mary H. Stonehill, all of Lima. Marilyn was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Pohlabel; brothers-in-law, Don Smith, and Bill Stonehill.
