Marji Tong

Marji Carolyn Tong, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 72.

She was born on February 22, 1953, in Fulton, NY to Claude Gardner Jr. and Wava (Pitts) Gardner. She married Robert A. Kell on June 23, 1972. They divorced in 1979. She married David A. Tong, June 21, 1983. Both are deceased.

She worked as a phlebotomist for many years for Blanchard Valley Hospital, and in recent years she enjoyed working at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.

Marji is survived by her children, Eric R. (Naomi) Kell, Adam D. (Alyssa Brandeberry) Tong, Amie Tong; her grandchildren, Landyn Tong, Abraham, Ezekiel, Esther and Eve Kell. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael (Joyce) Gardner of Lock Berlin, NY; and stepbrother, William Jr. “Pete.”

Friends and family may visit from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 24 at Cedar Creek Church, 2111 Stonehedge Dr., Findlay. A celebration of Marji’s life will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Bloom Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Marji requested donations to Cedar Creek Church.
