Martin Browne

Martin Browne, 94, of Carey, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born to Joseph and Ethel (Miles) Browne on October 18, 1929, in Findlay. He married Mary Preston on November 21, 1951, and she survives.

Martin graduated from Findlay High School and was a machinist for many years. He loved to read the Bible and any other math book. He also loved to play with his grandkids, giving them wagon rides or just chasing them around. He never left out any family pets. Martin had a great laugh and a love of GOD. He made the best funny faces that made everyone laugh. He will also be remembered as Mr. Fix-it.

Those left behind to cherish Martin’s memory are his spouse; daughters, Kay (Larry) Reese, Bessie (Jon) Peyton; grandchildren, Kara, Kati, Kaleb, Drake; great-grandchild, Braxton; brothers, Paul Browne and Jim Browne.

Martin was preceded in death by sisters, Lenora Shafer, Dora Snodgrass; and brothers, Joe Browne, Jerrold Browne, and Errol Browne.

Friends and family may visit from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or plant a tree in Martin’s honor.
