Mary E. Lieske

Mary Elaine Wright-Lieske, 75, of Athens, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017. A native of Kenton, Ohio, Mrs. Lieske was a daughter of the late Thurman Wright and Martha Schrenk Wright. She was a 1963 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Mrs. Lieske worked as a public school teacher, as store manager of Bookland and retired as a sales associate from Belk's. Mrs. Lieske loved playing and teaching Bridge. She taught Sunday school in Athens, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lieske was preceded in death by her son, Craig Wayne Lieske. Survivors include husband, Dale Lieske of Athens, Georgia; daughter, Gretchen Janal Hill of Stratham, Georgia; sisters, Lorena "Dee Dee" Baird of Findlay, Ohio and Nancy Hetrick of Norwalk, Ohio; granddaughter, Sierra "CC" Veal of Statham, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
