Matthew L. Fetrow

Matthew Logan Fetrow, 71, of Alvada, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at home.

He was born on January 4, 1953, in Canton, Ohio, to Wesley and Anna (Nist) Fetrow.

Matthew met Christine A. Kardohely and on May 12, 1973, they were united in marriage. They were married for 51 years and blessed with four children.

Matthew was a Canton Lehman High School graduate. He honorably served in the U.S. Army 45th Transportation Company from 1972-1974, serving in Korea. He was a journeyman carpenter, maintainer, and mechanic at Ball Metal retiring in 2013. Matt loved spending time with family, telling stories and re-telling those stories shortly thereafter. He was a member of Gateway Church (EPC) in Findlay.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Christine; children, Joseph (Heather) Fetrow of Monroe, OH, Daniel (Courtney) Fetrow, of Monroe, OH, Matthew (Rachel) Fetrow of Westerville, OH, and Melissa (Austin) Frantz of Columbus, OH; 10 beloved grandchildren, Tate Fetrow, Samuel Fetrow, David Frantz, Isabella Frantz, Greta Fetrow, Silas Fetrow, Henry Fetrow, Cora Fetrow, Delaney Fetrow, and Rowan Fetrow. In addition, his surviving siblings are Nancy (Dennis) Cramer, Carole (David) Best, William (Annie) Fetrow, Mary (Mark) Lallathin, Daniel (Pam) Fetrow, and Ruth Zitnik.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family may visit Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Matthew’s funeral service will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Craig Cramer officiating.
