Matthew G. "Hew" Hill

Matthew G. Hill, a.k.a. “Hew”, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly November 2, 2022, at the age of 30. He was born October 31, 1992, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Terry and Kelly (Kubasek) Hill.

Hew was a Carey High School graduate and attended Bowling Green State University. He served in the U. S. Marines before being honorably discharged. Hew enjoyed biking, hiking, and collected guns. He was a member of Task Force 20 and attended Connections Church in Findlay.

Hew is survived by his mother, Kelly; stepfather, Anthony Menningen; brothers, Justin (Robin) Hill of Tiffin, Seth J. Hill of Fremont, Hunter J. (Mikayla) Hill of Adrian, Anthony Menningen of Port Clinton, Donovan Hill of Findlay, Eric Hill of New Reigel, Steven Hill of Fostoria, Cody Hill of Carey, and “Brunkle” Kyle Hill of Adrian; and sister, Emily Menningen of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his father Terry; sister, Holly Menningen; stepsister, Angela Menningen; paternal grandparents, Ike and Janice Hill; and maternal grandparents, Verl and Eve Kubasek.

Friends and family may visit from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. The Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct full military rites.
