Merretta I. Weddington

Merretta Inez Weddington, 65, of Findlay, Ohio, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Merretta Inez was born August 17, 1957, to Olin and Grace Blackburn in Pikeville, Kentucky. In 1978, Merretta married Tracy Eugene Weddington at Stone Coal Church of Christ in Pikeville. Merretta and Tracy went on to have two children, Bret, and Desireah.

Merretta began her college education at Pikeville College then transferred to Wayne State University and in 1990 graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology. After she earned her bachelor’s, she went on to earn a Master’s of Art in rehabilitation counseling from Michigan State University in 1993.

Merretta worked for the state of Michigan as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and supervisor. In 2012, Merretta Inez retired and spent time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband Tracy.

Merretta is survived by her loving husband Tracy of 44 years; her son, Bret Weddington, and daughter, Desireah Weddington (Bill Hubbard), along with two grandchildren, Leila Mae and Luke Tracy; and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry, and Daniel; and three sisters, Karis, Linda, and Patrice.
