Michael "Mike" E. Romick

Michael Eddie Romick, 71, of Rawson, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, with his wife at his side. He was born March 13, 1950, in Findlay to Gene E. and Ermajean (Thomas) Romick. On December 10, 1977, Mike, and Cynthia Thompson, were united in marriage.

Mike was a Cory Rawson High School graduate and attended Columbus Technical Institute earning his associate degree. He loved spending his time outdoors, mowing, working in the garden, or fishing. Mike loved supporting the grandkids in their many activities. He always appreciated a good meal with family and friends, or a good phone call. It gave Mike great joy and happiness when he had a baby in his arms to hold. He was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Findlay and a member of Laborer’s Union 329 of Lima.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Cindy of 44 years; daughters, Katie (Jared) Zimmerly of Columbus Grove, OH, and Elizabeth (Dave) Weldy of Kettering, OH; six grandchildren, Madison, Casey, and Simon Zimmerly, Alex, Paige, and Griffin Weldy; siblings, Shelley (Denny) Knittle, Danny Romick, and Wendy (Jan) Flynn. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Tim Romick.

Mike’s memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8360 County Road 140, Findlay, Ohio 45840 with Pastor Walt Sheppard and Pastor Dave Clark officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions in Mike’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, or Cancer Patient Services, 1800 N. Blanchard St., Suite 120, Findlay.
