Monique "Mo Mo" Hamilton

June 18, 2002 — February 13, 2024

Findlay

Wheelchair sassy, balloon enthusiast, and music fan/critic, Monique “Mo Mo” Hamilton was born in Findlay June 18, 2002, to Duke Hamilton Jr. of Findlay and Patricia Miller of Bronx, New York. Mo Mo gained her precious angel wings on February 13, 2024, with her family by her side, at the age of 21 after a long battle with pneumonia and RSV.

Monique is survived by her parents; siblings, Evan Hamilton, Jose Hamilton, and Aayden German; close cousins, Alexandro Jr. and Vida Mendoza, whom she loved as her siblings; her paternal grandparents, Duke Hamilton Sr. and Sonya Hamilton; aunts, Racheal (Alexandro Sr.) Mendoza, Tonya Hamilton, and Nicole Hamilton; maternal great aunt, Lizzette Cheatwood; great grandmother, Maria Gonzalez; aunts, Amber Miller, Tamra Woods; uncle, Craig Miller Jr.; numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved her dearly.

Monique is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Earl and Lila Hamilton, Jose and Isabel Lopez; grandparents, Mary Cheatwood and Craig Miller Sr.

Mo Mo graduated from Blanchard Valley Schools in 2020, where she made special friends and met caring teachers during her entire school career. After graduating, Mo Mo “moved out” to live at Blanchard Valley Residential until her illness. She pursued her love of loud music and helium balloons every day throughout her time on this side of the sky. She loved to be surrounded by her family, loud noises, and to “dance” to her rap music! Car rides with a lot of bass was one of her favorite things to do. She loved to sing to her favorite songs, and rock in her recliner while she bounced a helium balloon string with her fingers as she gazed out a sunny window. Monique had the biggest, most beautiful smile and dimples that would make anyone’s day. Soft blankets and loud squeaky toys would turn her frown upside down. She got a kick out of a running vacuum cleaner and crying babies. Monique was tiny in size, but very mighty at heart. Family and friends should remember her by her smile and big bright eyes, and especially her strong mentality.
