Nancy Jean Janton, 70, of Findlay, was called to the Lord October 3, 2016 at Birchaven Village suffering from Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma. She was born on September 17, 1946 in New Haven, Ohio to the late James and Louise (McLane) Cline of Berlin Heights, Ohio. Nancy married Michael Janton and he survives her in Findlay.
Nancy grew up on the family farm in Berlin Heights. She graduated from Ohio University in 1968 where she earned a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science. Her career included teaching Home Economics in the Upper Arlington City Schools, a long stint as a Consumer Credit Councilor in Colorado Springs, Colorado and teaching Early Childhood Education to juniors and seniors at Millstream Career and Technology Center, in the Findlay City Schools. Nancy's passions included her daughters, knitting, sewing, creative cooking/baking and travel and for several years before her passing, ran a small craft show business "Knittens" where she manufactured and sold mittens made from recycled sweaters. She was the founder of the Tome Travelers book club which continues. Nancy was an active member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church participating in Kathryn Circle and the church craft bazaar. Nancy's captivating smile and always friendly demeanor was infectious and she made many friends in Findlay and many new friends among residents and staff at Birchaven Village in her 14 month on and off stay.

Nancy is survived by husband Michael; daughters, Graciana and Marciana Janton, all of Findlay. She is also survived by brother, Kenneth (Vern) Cline of Murphysboro, ILL; sisters, Melinda (Charles) Rielly of Altamont, NY, Marilyn (Craig) Finnen of Berlin Heights, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) with Pastor Larry Kreps officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior (2 - 4 p.m.) to the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven, OH.
