Noden R. Mohney

Noden Russell Mohney, age 81, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born November 7, 1942, in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, he is the son of Curnel J. and Bess E. (Sebring) Mohney. Russell married Karen L. (Shelley) in May of 1967, and she preceded him in death in 2022.

Russell was a Clarion High School graduate and attended Anderson University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He went on to work at Marathon Oil Company as a Computer Analyst and retired with over 30 years of service. Russell also began assisting with the Boy Scouts when his son, Duane entered scouts. In his spare time, he volunteered with tax preparation, enjoyed wood working, loved to bike ride, and was an avid OSU Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Russell is survived by his son, Duane (Lynn) Mohney of Maynard, MA; daughters, Andrea (Doug) Myers of Perrysburg, OH; and Lora Leigh Mohney of Galloway, OH; five beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Claire, and Ethan Myers all of Perrysburg, Caleb, and Kira Mohney both of Maynard, MA; and his two sisters, Francie Mohney, and Maxine Mohney; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to both parents and wife Karen, Russell was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles, and Butch Mohney, and his In-laws, Paul and Louise Shelley.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). The funeral service will begin at 12 noon following visitation with Pastor Michael Wise officiating. Interment will be private in Maple Grove Cemetery.
