Norma J. Doyle, 86, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, October 20 2016 at Birchaven Village. She was born on April 26, 1930 in Findlay, OH to the late Ignatius C. and Elizabeth (Kintsle) Pahl. Norma married her high school sweetheart, Charles Arthur Doyle and shared 50 years of her life with her loving husband.
Norma was a devoted mother to her seven children and grandchildren going to every event she could attend. She graduated from Findlay High School and was always proud of her employment as the first female employee at Dietsch Brothers during her high school years. Norma worked at Ohio Bell as a telephone operator and later owned her own answering service, Answering Associates. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a gym teacher at St. Michael's school where she was a member of the church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses, aides, and staff at Birchaven for the wonderful kindness and care that Norma received while there.
Norma is survived by her sons, Chris, Phillip (Julie), Patrick; daughters, Cheryl (John Dibling), Sandy (Tim) Hord, Connie Niemeyer, and Linda (Paul Ramos); 19 grandchildren, Shawn, Shane, Karina, Cole, Josh, Jeremy, Preston, Alexa, Lauren, Charlie, Michelle, Christy, Candy, Jenny, Jacob, Bradlee, Brandon, BreAnna, Britany; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Robert Pahl; and sister, Mary Collett. In addition to her husband Charles, Norma was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth Pahl, and Ned Pahl.
Friends and family may visit on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500), where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown Church on West Main Cross St., Findlay, OH. Monsignor Michael Hohenbrink will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be held in the St. Michael Parish Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Norma's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Michael the Archangel Church.
