Oliver H. Smith Jr.

Oliver H. Smith Jr., 84, of North Baltimore, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2022, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore. He was born November 27, 1937, in Delphos, Ohio to Oliver H. Smith Sr. and Mary Smith. He married Marilyn (Pohlabel) Smith and she preceded him in death.

Oliver graduated high school and shortly after, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954, with an honorable discharge in 1958.

Oliver is survived by his son, Daniel (Yvonne) Smith of Van Wert; daughters, Cynthia (Doug) Riffle of Spencerville, and Christina Smith of Findlay; six grandchildren, Paul, Louis, William, Nicholas, Marcus, and Ashleigh; ten, great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Deb) Smith, Jack (Bonnie) Smith, Tom (Marlene) Smith; sisters, Nancy Rayle, Mary Lou Saylor, Jenny (Larry) Clark, Kathy (Curt) Martin, and Shirley Perrin. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim Smith, and Don Smith; sisters, Sally Bohn, Carol King, and Isabel Kramer.

The family will be holding a private celebration of Oliver’s life. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
