Phyllis Jean Greer, 83, of Arlington, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born March 31, 1939, in Milburn, West Virginia to Ballard and Linda (Meade) Greer.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, baking, and spending time with her family. Family reunions were the highlight of her year as she loved gathering with extended family and catching up on talk.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Leland (Nanette) Vantrease of Findlay, Kelvin (Ginger) Vantrease of Miamisburg, OH, Darryl Vantrease of Cookeville, TN, and Justin (Lynette) Vantrease of Willard, OH; and one daughter, Felicia Vantrease of Fostoria, OH; 11 grandchildren, Jesse (Kelly) Lugo, Mandi (Kyle) Dy, Chenoa (Mike) Reed, Callista Vantrease, Drew Vantrease, Logan (Lindsey) Vantrease, Troy (Hannah) Vantrease, Tyler Vantrease, Alexa Vantrease, Austin Vantrease, and Devin Vantrease, and four great-grandchildren, MJ Reed, Isla Dy, Lucy Dy, and Carson Vantrease. She is also survived by four brothers, Harold, Bur;l (Joan), Alvin (Julie), and Melvin Greer; and six sisters, Sylvia VanAtta, Gerlene (Ross) Draper, Marlene Hurt, Gwen (Paul) Crowe, Neola Zechman, and Audrey Greer. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vonda Katrina; grandson, Mason; and four brothers, Claude, Merlin, Donnie, and Carl.
Friends and family may visit Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Phyllis name may be made to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
