Phyllis R. Rieder

Phyllis Ruth Rieder, 88, of Findlay, passed away April 23, 2017 at Fox Run Manor. She was born to the late Ralph and Emma (Shaffer) Schmidt on December 30, 1928 in Owensville, Missouri. Phyllis married Donald W. Rieder on April 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1988. Phyllis is survived by her son, Donn (Kim) Rieder of Jenera, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Christie (Andy) Lammers of Findlay,Ohio, Candice (Ryan) Korkos of Indiana, Chad (Ashley) Rieder of Indiana, Clay (Angie) Rieder of Warsaw, Indiana, and Chloe Rieder of Jenera, Ohio; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a son, David Rieder; brother, Ralph Schmidt; and her sister, Ann Giesler. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Church of Christ, 2100 Greendale Ave, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The Reverend Dale Smith will officiate. Burial will be private. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Phyllis's name may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society.
