Randy Edward Dick, age 55 of Gowen, MI (formerly of Findlay, OH), passed away peacefully Friday, October 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born in Findlay to Keith and Rosezella (Eckman) Dick on February 15, 1961. They both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lee Roy Iteen. Randy was a 1978 graduate of Liberty-Benton High School. He retired from the city of Findlay Water Treatment Plant as Assistant Operator. Randy married Lee Ann Leeper and they later divorced. He is survived by his only son, Ryan (Angel) Dick of West Virginia, who Randy loved very much; grandsons, Daniel, Gage, and Connor; siblings, Cathy Iteen of Gowen, Luann McBride of Findlay (Stan Friedrich of Texas), Cheryl Preston (Dale) of Findlay, and Gary (Deborah) Dick of Findlay; nieces and nephews, Anne (Jim) Byard, Mark (Mara) Iteen, Leann (William) Paiz, and Lee (Jennifer) Iteen, Jr., all of Michigan, Beth Pinheiro (Leo) of Rhode Island, Matthew McBride of North Dakota, and Natalie Preston, Nathan Preston, Jeremy (Lisa) Dick, and Amber Dick, all of Findlay; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Randy will be remembered for his kind heart, which was as big as his smile, and for his fighting spirit (also known as stubbornness). He loved to hunt and fish, and played cards every week with the great friends he made in Michigan. Randy was a self-taught artist and guitar player, and loved old-time country music. He was a big University of Michigan and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. A memorial service celebrating Randy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Hufford Family Funeral Home (1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay, OH 45840), Pastor Will Miller officiating.
