Ray Dean Gallant, 80, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born November 6, 1941. Ray married Marilyn (Moses) in September of 1965.
Ray was a 1959 Hardin Northern High School graduate. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1959 – 1963 where he was a Fire Control Technician aboard the USS Saint Paul. Ray was employed with Dow Chemical for 32 years as supervisor. He was a member of the VFW and was an NRA member. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, snow plowing, and took pride in his prized tomato plants.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn; two daughters, Cynthia Gallant, and Kandace Gallant; his “special son”, Eric Moorhead; one grandson, Andon Raker; his twin sister; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Gallant, and John Gallant, and sister, Mary Woods.
Friends and family may visit from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. in the funeral home following visitation with Pastor Dean Wilkinson officiating. The Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will perform full military rites. Memorial contributions in Ray’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, or to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
